Dr Bryar Koyi

Dr Bryar Koyi is a highly accomplished Specialist Periodontist and Implant Surgeon with a distinguished career in both clinical practice and dental education. With over a decade of experience in managing complex periodontal and implant cases, Dr Koyi brings exceptional skill, precision, and a patient-focused approach to Moira Wong Orthodontics.

After earning a BSc in Molecular Genetics from King’s College London, Dr Koyi completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) at Barts and The London Dental School in 2010. He then went on to pursue extensive postgraduate training, including a Master’s in Clinical Dentistry (Periodontology), a Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Periodontology, and a Certificate in Advanced Implantology. He is board-certified in Periodontics in both the UK and Australia.

Dr Koyi has a strong academic background, having served as a Senior Clinical Lecturer in Periodontology and Oral Implantology at the University of Western Australia and as a Clinical Teaching Fellow at UCL’s Eastman Dental Institute. His commitment to education and clinical excellence is evident in both his teaching and patient care.

He routinely performs a wide range of advanced procedures including:

• Complex dental implant placements (including full arch reconstructions and “teeth-in-a-day”)
• Bone and soft tissue grafting (including sinus lifts, block grafts, and gum grafts)
• Surgical and non-surgical periodontal therapies (including LANAP laser therapy)
• Periodontal plastic surgery (aesthetic crown lengthening, root coverage, etc.)
• Oral surgery (wisdom tooth extractions, impacted canines, cyst removal)
• Orthodontic-related procedures (such as impacted tooth exposures and retention implants)

Dr Koyi is passionate about delivering predictable, evidence-based outcomes using the latest digital technology. He believes in a personalised approach to care, ensuring each patient understands their treatment journey and feels comfortable at every stage.

He is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (M Perio RCS Ed), the British Society of Periodontology, the International Team for Implantology (ITI), and the Australia and New Zealand Association of Periodontists.

When not in clinic, Dr Koyi continues to contribute to the field through research and professional development. His work has been published in respected journals, and he has co-authored a clinical textbook on dentine hypersensitivity.
