Brushing alone is not enough to prevent tooth decay. To prevent tooth decay and gum disease in children, parents should:
– Supervise brushing with a fluoride toothpaste
– Teach the art of flossing – assisting if needed
– Provide a healthy diet
– Take your child to the dentist every six months.
